I purchased this originally for my 52 year old husband who had decided his best years were behind him and just came home from work to watch TV. I started him on this and within two weeks I noticed him coming home to cook, want to go to the store, and more. I decided to try them and I've noticed an energy boost personally. I added Redwood and WOW...but that's another review. It does more than the ones I purchased at the drugstore definitely.

Should women consider anything in particular when using B vitamins?

B vitamins are especially important for women who are pregnant and breastfeeding. These vitamins aid in fetal brain development as well as reduce the risk of birth defects.

And for expectant mothers, B vitamins may boost energy levels and ease nausea.

Should men consider anything in particular when using B vitamins?

B vitamins are thought to increase testosterone levels in men, which naturally decrease with age. They may also help men build muscle and increase strength. However, human studies confirming these claims are lacking.

The recommended daily amount of each B vitamin varies.

For women, the recommended daily intake is:

The above data came from the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Older adults and women who are pregnant require higher amounts of B vitamins. Your doctor can provide dosage information tailored to your individual needs.

Certain underlying health conditions can prevent your body from properly absorbing vitamin B. You should also talk to your doctor about your vitamin B intake if you have:

  • celiac disease
  • HIV
  • Crohn’s disease
  • alcohol dependence
  • kidney conditions
  • rheumatoid arthritis
  • ulcerative colitis
  • inflammatory bowel disease
How can I tell if I am deficient in B vitamins?

Most people get enough B vitamins by eating a balanced diet. However, it’s still possible to be deficient.

The following symptoms may be a sign that you’re not getting enough B vitamins:

  • skin rashes
  • cracks around the mouth
  • scaly skin on the lips
  • swollen tongue
  • fatigue
  • weakness

  • constipation
  • numbness or tingling in the feet and hands

If you’re experiencing any of these symptoms and aren’t sure why, make an appointment to see your doctor.

Although it’s possible that you’re experiencing a vitamin B deficiency, these symptoms also overlap with many other underlying conditions. Your doctor can make a diagnosis and advise you on any next steps.

Which foods contain B vitamins?

Lots of foods contain B vitamins, which makes it easy to get enough from your diet. It’s best to get your B vitamins from a wide variety of food sources. This helps to ensure you’re getting enough of each type.

Does DAILY B contain the "methyl" version of Vitamin B12?

Yes, DAILY B contains methyl-cobalamin, (MecobalActive is a trademark of HEALTHTECH BIO ACTIVES, S.L.U.) which is the most bioavailable form of Vitamin B12.

What is the form of folate in DAILY B?

It is food form folate. Per the FDA, we are required to label our fermented folate as "folic acid" because it's been added to the supplement and is not naturally occurring in food. Our ingredient doesn't meet the definition of "naturally occurring in food" nor is it just the pure synthetic form. The FDA labels it as supplemental in the way your body absorbs and utilizes it.

Under the new FDA regulations in labeling, there are new units of measurement for folate called Dietary Folate Equivalents (DFE). As part of this new requirement, any folate/folic acid vitamin that is added to a supplement (whatever its form) needs to be listed separately including the actual amount added. 0.6 mcg of supplemental folate/folic acid = 1 mcg of dietary folate (or DFE). This is due to the way the vitamin is absorbed by our bodies--supplemental forms are absorbed more readily. So, for example, 480 mcg of ADDED folate or folic acid = 800 mcg dietary folate equivalents (DFE) based on this new conversion.

We understand this can be very confusing, please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions.

Is DAILY B safe for children?

Generally speaking, we have not specifically formulated our products for children. However, many of our products are made with simple whole food ingredients that would not likely pose a problem for children. We do have plenty of customers who choose to share some of our products with their children, but we advise that you speak with your healthcare provider to determine what is right for your family.

Is DAILY B safe while pregnant or breastfeeding?

If pregnant, consult your health professional before using this product.

Is DAILY B vegan or vegetarian?

The capsule is made from bovine gelatin, so the product overall is not vegan. However, the contents are vegan-friendly.

Is DAILY B dairy-free?

Yes, DAILY B is dairy free, however, it is processed in the same facility as some dairy-containing products.

Can I take DAILY B with medication?

We always recommend talking to your prescribing physician before using any supplements.
